Thanks for sharing!!
So it looks like Hat Trick (JPN) sired three group winners over the weekend. 8-)
5yo mare Tricky Escape(USA) won the G3 Waya Stakes 10F on the main track at Saratoga on Sunday.
And 5yo horse Hat Mario(ARG) won the G3 República Federativa del Brasil 8F turf at Palermo, Argentina, on Saturday.

Of course this would happen after Gainesway has banished him to Brazil!
For a sire that has graded stakes winners in several different countries on 3 different continents he sure doesn't get the respect he deserves...

What an impressive run by Yoshida! May this be the final push to interest breeders in bringing back Sunday Silence blood to the USA?
I thought of you tachyon, I was screaming for him to get there and I loved how he pushed on even as Gunny came running at him.

I firmly believe that Yoshida's success in the Woodward will be the greatest moment for the Sunday Silence Silre-line.
We all know that his blood is one of the best influences for the turf racing all over the world.
But who could imagine that his grandson would win a G1 on the main track in the US?

Do you think that Yoshida will find his place at stud in Kentucky as a grandson of Sunday Silence??

Yes, most likely at WinStar, or maybe Coolmore.

Absolutely, WinStar has been campaigning him with the hopes of him being a sought after stud in Kentucky, and it was part of the idea of switching him to the dirt for the Woodward, any horse who is a G1 winner on dirt and turf is going to be of interest especially with his solid dam side on dirt as well.

And I now feel somewhat relieved that I was not always wrong, haha.

Nice to hear that.
Let's see what Yoshida does in the Royal Ascot next.
I would love to see him tested on the conventional dirt at some point, too.
I do think that Heart's Cry can sire good dirt horses with his fundamental power.
Hopefully, Shadai will review their mating plans and the underrated Heart's Cry will cover more top US dirt mares from next season!!!

Go Sunday Silence!
Go Heart's Cry!
Go Hilda's Passion!
and..... Go Yoshida, go!!

-- Pedigree Notes by TDN

Pedigree Notes:

Bred by Northern Farm, who acquired 2011 GI Ballerina S. winner Hilda’s Passion for $1.225 million at Fasig-Tipton November in 2011, Yoshida was purchased by John McCormack on behalf of WinStar for ¥94 million (about US$765,000) as a yearling at the 2015 JRHA Select Sale on the island of Hokkaido. Yoshida’s year-older half-brother Sieg Kaiser (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}) is a winner of three of 12 lifetime starts and also raced Saturday, finishing eighth in allowance company at Niigata. Yoshida’s 3-year-old half-brother Weltherrschaft (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}) has won two of his five career starts. Hilda’s Passion is the dam of the 2-year-old colt Chef d’Oeuvre (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}), a yearling filly by Deep Impact (Jpn) and a filly foal by dual Japanese Classic winner King Kamehameha (Jpn).
Hilda's Passion's 2yo colt Chef d'Oeuvre is not by Deep Impact but by Orfevre.

Yes she is incredible. :D
Both jockey Lemaire and trainer Kunieda commented in post-race interviews that Almond Eye was only 80% off her 5 months layoff.

She has become Japan's most popular horse! :D

Is the blood on her nostrils from a cut or is she bleeding from the nose?
Either way, on to the Japan Cup! And I imagine maybe the Arima Kinen?

AFAIK she's never bled so I would guess that's from the little cut on her nose.

She does have something going on with her feet but it hasn't seemed to slow her down any...

ALMOND EYE the day after creating history. Had some heat issues post race and was a bit wobbly. Fine after some care. She's tired today but well. Depending on condition, the Japan Cup next https://t.co/R2H28JyRnG

Almond Eye was given 115 rating for her Shuka Sho win. 8-)

Both past Japanese Triple Tiara winners Apapane and Gentildonna were given 112 for their Shuka Sho wins.

The way she mowed them down in the stretch, it's well deserved. I hope she gets a good rest and brings it to the Japan Cup!!
