I thought about them, but in actual fact it seems to me the Japanese put more reasonable caps on their shopping lists. They seem to go after the mares American breeders don't want badly enough to go 7 figures for. Remember how they got Azeri for 2 million after she RNA'd at 4 million (similar partnership situation too?), and they said they were shocked they got her so low but specified they wouldn't have gone much higher?
I can't remember the last time they bought a mare for over 4 million.

There you go putting reality into my daydreaming...
Nah, I know you're right but it would be so much fun to see her go to the top stallions in Japan... either way I'm excited to see who they pick up.

She foaled a Deep Impact filly this year, I hope she will be okay with a nurse mare (or is maybe already weaned?).Kate Hunter @KeibaKate

Sorry to hear the sole causality of the Quake was the dam of the 2018 Derby winner Wagnerian (Deep Impact). Miss Encore (King Kamehameha) was turned out over night when the quake struck at 3am. Suffered a fracture in the paddock was was put down.

Shame the mare had to be put down. I would assume the foal is weaned and if not, they would wean now.lurkey mclurker wrote: ↑Sun Sep 09, 2018 5:58 pm

If the filly was born in March or before she'd be weaned right now or in the process thereof. If she's younger they might put her with a nursemare depending on her size but they may just wean her if she is big/strong enough.

All of the Shadai horses were okay... Miss Encore was at Northern Farm. Fortunately the rest of their horses, and their retired/second career horses and ponies at Northern Horse Park, were okay as well.
nabecci via Twitter posted that they had been to see the ponies (and Deep Impact's dam, 27-yr-old Wind in Her Hair, who is pensioned there) and there was some tree damage from the typhoon/earthquake but everyone was in good spirits and cleanup was underway.
Shadai & NHP both got their electricity back... Shadai had some tree damage too. Photos here with nice headshots of Eishin Flash and Orfevre:

But she is also owned in partnership and maybe the other partners decided they didn't want in on the breeding side of things. Its very possible that Stonestreet will try to buy out the other partners.Mylute wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 7:59 pm Lady Aurelia to Be Offered at Fasig-Tipton November

Barbara Banke talks about the possibility that she will try to buy out the other partners on Lady Aurelia at the auction and why she didn't try to do so outside the auction ring.

From Glen Hill Farm's FB:
"Nice morning! Our first six weanlings arrived from Kentucky. They had a good babysitter. 23 year old Motokiks, who is the dam of Graded winners Keertana, Snow Top Mountain, and Diversy Harbor, came along. She will retire at Glen Hill Farm."

She looks great. I wish her a happy and healthy retirement. I loved her fillies when they raced. Still sad that Diversy died.ThreeMustangs wrote: ↑Sat Oct 20, 2018 10:43 pm From Glen Hill Farm's FB:

I don't think there is anyway for me to link to the videos from TDN. They have recents videos of Song of Bernadaette(dam of Catholic Boy) and Cover Song(1/2 sister to U S Navy Flag and Roly Poly), both who are selling in the November sales. I kind of feel bad for the owner of Song of Bernadette. He seems to really love her but says his farm just can't afford to keep her, which I understand.
