Not sure if anyone spotted this but the winner of the Rockfel Stakes (G2 at Newmarket), Just Wonderful is a daughter of Wading, who is a daughter of Cherry Hinton, who is a daughter of none other than Urban Sea. The legacy continues.

Shades of Upset  But glad to see he is doing well. He's gonna get that Graded stakes win one of these days. At least he'll likely have the chance to run as an older.

Also... side note but SPD is a full to American Pharoah not a half!

Soi Phet Kasem is a road in Bangkok, Thailand.

Nil Phet seems to mean that he is not exactly as good as his older brother. 🤔

A while back there was an article a bout a race across the pond (I think Ireland) and the trainer referred to the race as "a real ding dong" (meaning a good race) or something like that and I was thrown for a loop.

"Ding dong" usually specifically refers to a battle between horses with a close finish, especially if the lead has been traded several times. "Humdinger" is also a good phrase, and just means a great race.

Think of a big church bell, with the ringer going back and forth. Ding, dong.

My mother was in the British Land Army.
That means she and other girls did the plowing, picking and crop hauling while the lads were over on the other side of the Channel.
Yes, Dad married an English girl. I have dual citizenship, British and USA. Born in Liverpool.
