It has been announced that this is the last season More Than Ready will shuttle to Australia

Well, he's 21 now, so I'm kind of surprised that he was still shuttling.

Wonder if this will be his last year of breeding period. I think the average age of pensioning is 24 (from memory).

He is one of the rare stallions that is so successful on both sides of the equator, warranting his continued shuttling, but not so successful on one side or the other that he becomes too valuable to make the trip (Galileo, Dubawi, Medaglia D'oro)

I hope his last trip is safe and uneventful!

More Than Ready is one of my favorite stallions ever, and here in the US I think he is still underrated and overlooked by a lot of owners of top mares.

Its always a horse by horse basis. If they have no physical issues and still have good fertility, most farms will keep breeding the stallions until one of those things comes up.
