As we could see from all those Joe Neville Twitter photos of yearlings, many of these babies still have baby bellies, big heads and high rumps. It's a gamble to buy one and hope that it will grow up and out of those.

I wonder if part of it is the change in the sales format this year? It seems like there are more yearlings with lackluster pages in the first two days. I wonder if they'll go back to the shorter, more elite Book 1 format next year.
