2018 Keeneland September Yearling Sale

I know we are still a way's off but since the forum was down during the F-T Saratoga Select Yearling sale and we missed some of the fireworks I figured why not look ahead now?
One baby that might crack the 7 figure mark is Hip 63... a half-sister to Songbird by American Pharoah. I am almost certain we will see a huge price for hip 120 by Medaglia d'Oro, who is out of Leslie's Lady (i.e. half to Into Mischief, Beholder, Mendelssohn)

Hip 6 also by American Pharoah but out of Harmony Lodge, based on the page should see a bit of action... Hip 306, half sister to Cupid by American Pharoah. And I'm personally interested in seeing how hip 363 will be received, she is a Chestnut filly by American Pharoah, out of Saint Bernadette (by Saint Ballado) who produced Social Inclusion, and her other blacktype winning offspring Road to Damascus is also by Pioneerof the Nile.
Hip 617, a half-sister to Lord Neslon by Medaglia d'Oro and hip 958 a Medaglia d'Oro half-sister to Miss Temple City
I'm pre-emptively drooling over hip 212 a filly out of Moonlight Sonata by Honor Code. Another interesting Honor Code is hip 543.

Another interesting offering to look for though I doubt we will see him go that high, Hip 663 a half brother to Instagrand by Cairo Prince.

This is just a cursory glance I haven't actually had the time to look at all the offerings yet!

Glennwood is selling a half to Justify ( Stage Magic by Will Take Charge). Originally the Gunthers said they were keeping him but saw on Twitter he is entered in the sale as hip 443 supposed to be a big beautiful chestnut- bigger than Justify at the same age! Would love to see an updated photo of him.

I'm always interested in seeing how the stallions with their first crops of yearlings do.

The American Pharoah's almost all have incredibly strong pages. Even the ones selling later in the sale are pretty good.
Hip 115 is a colt by American Pharoah that is a half brother to G2 Spellbound and MG3SW Kid Cruz. But he is also from the family of Justify. Justify's 2nd dam is a half-sister to the dam of this colt.

Edit: Just saw that a Tapit half brother to California Chrome will be going through the ring in Book 1 as Hip 141
Keep an eye on Hip 157 Cairo Prince x Majestic Rosette. The dam is a half-sister to Littleprincessemma and with her also being by a Storm Cat line stallion, that makes a similar cross to American Pharoah, Classic Empire and other examples of this potent nick. (PotN/EM/UB over Storm Cat)
Further down you'll find Hip 207 Pioneerof the Nile x Misty Rosette who is another half-sister to Littleprincessemma and Majestic Rosette, by a son of Storm Cat.
Hip 195 is a half to Mine That Bird, Dullahan, Meistermind etc. by Pioneerof the Nile.

Hip 251 Ghostzapper x Oatsee might be a good pinhooking prospect depending on how mature he looks mid-April foal... although I suspect being in Book 1 will probably draw attention to him.

Since the sale is being moved back to 1pm I will miss the start of it which I'm bumped about because had it been at 11 am as originally planned I'd have gotten the chance to see some of the hips I'm looking forward to!

TVG has been running bits from Scot at the Keeneland sale, showing different yearlings and talking to the breeders & consigners. I just saw an Honor Code, and he looked JUST like his sire. Tall, handsome and not at all a baby.

Hip #1 gets the sale off with the first American Pharoah, a pretty filly out of a Halling mare. I think she went for $335,000.
ETA: #3, a Speightstown-Halo's Verse colt, goes for $600,000.

20, War Front x Homebound (Dixie Union) colt, is a big, dark boy...looks like the Arch on his dam side is showing. Named US Pacific Fleet, goes for $725,000. Think that's the top price so far.
ETA: 25 PotN x Hooh Why colt, pretty, high energy attracts a $585,000 bid. Sold or RNA?
