Both Duramente and Epiphaneia were retired due to front limb injury... whether their legs reflect that, or were structurally prone to cause injury, is admittedly a valid question for interested breeders. IMO Epiphaneia also looks like he might have been shifting his weight/moving as the photo was taken, since they aren't official conformation shots.

His legs look to have the same issues in his official confo shot, just slightly less further a part. (At least I was looking at how poorly aligned they are - over at the knee with weird angles particularly from the pastern in relation to the rest)lurkey mclurker wrote:Both Duramente and Epiphaneia were retired due to front limb injury... whether their legs reflect that, or were structurally prone to cause injury, is admittedly a valid question for interested breeders. Yes, I believe that it's a new one of Creator(USA).mariasmon wrote:Is this a new one of Creator?
JBBA has renewed some of the stallions' conformaion photos recently (even though I don't know when exactly.. haha) on its Japanese homepage below.
https://jbba.jp/stallion/horse/
And these photos have been brought to JBIS Search.
Other JBBA stallions who seem to have new conformation photos posted on JBBA's homepage & JBIS are as follows:
Makfi(GB)
Cape Blanco(IRE)
Bago(FR)

I'd love to see some pics of the first Makfi crop foals, there are 101 listed at JBIS but I haven't seen any of them yet and none are in the July JBBA Select Foal Sale or the JRHA Select Sale, boo...

You mean his first Japanese crop? He stood in Great Britain/shuttled to NZ from 2011-2014 and in France from 2015-2016.lurkey mclurker wrote:I'd love to see some pics of the first Makfi crop foals, there are 101 listed at JBIS but I haven't seen any of them yet and none are in the July JBBA Select Foal Sale or the JRHA Select Sale, boo...
Here is his son Make Believe, at stud in Great Britain, whose first foals are yearlings of 2018

I like this informal shot of Deep Impact better than his official conformation shot...

Re. Makfi's 2018 crop
Makfi(GB) has been standing at JBBA (Japan Bloodhorse Breeder's Association) since last year.
And the Shadai Group, not surprisingly, sent few mares to the JBBA stallion last year.
The JRHA Select Sale (for foals and yearlings) is known as ''the Shadai Sale '' in Japan -- the big sale of the Shadai Group, by the Shadai Group, for the Shadai Group.
The JRHA (Japan Race Horse Association) was founded by the Shadai Group.
So almost all of the horses listed there have close relationships with the Shadai's operations.
Thus, none of Makfi's first Japanese crop has been listed in the JRHA Select Sale (= Shadai's Sale).
The HBA Hokkaido Selection Sale, other major sale in Japan even if smaller than the JRHA Select Sale, is held mainly for the small & medium-sized independent breeders.
But the HBA Hokkaido Selection Sale doesn't offer foals session now.
And here's the link to the HBA Hokkaido Selection Sale 2018:

Don't know how new this is, but I don't think it's been posted here before.
Here is Tidal Volume (Tapit x Proud Rose) who is standing in Ohio and is very pretty.

This is a screenshot from Florida’s Stallion Register online brochure. I saw my beloved namesake’s photo and had to share somehow. You would never know he was basically black as a youngster.

Barbara Livingston posted a photo of him on twitter, giving him the "best forelock" award. Cutie pie.
