It's too bad she lost the Camelot pregnancy, because IMHO that combo could definitely provide a Cup horse. Maybe Coolmore will return to Camelot with her in the future.

Galileo has provided multiple winners of the 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas (which are both 1 mile) so he certainly passes on speed as well. I'm interested to see whether Coolmore wants to start dabbling in jumps racing now and that's why they purchased Annie Power, although I believe they stand a few national hunt stallions so one would think that's the direction they would lean if they intended to race the foal over jumps.

J.P. McManus is usually first in line to buy any Coolmore horse that looks like it has talent over jumps, and he is one of the only people allowed to send jumps mares to Galileo. I wouldn't be surprised to see him racing the offspring over jumps before Coolmore partners do, if the horse doesn't have any talent on the flat.

With those two, that makes 58 mares bred so far. They've always been conservative with him (which is nice, and also is probably part of the reason why he gets such good prices at auction) and I wonder if his, uh, success rate is going down as he ages. He's not a spring chicken.

Its not just Danzig's line. Its the Northern Dancer line. Obviously its not all of them either. Ones I can think of off the top of my head, Snaafi Dancer, Cigar, Lure, George Washington, Starspangledbanner, Cacique, Al Kazeem, El Gran Senor(was pensioned before age 20 because of it), Summer Squall(pensioned because of fertility issues), etc. I also remember Dixie Union moving farms his first year at stud because of fertility but they thought he would be able to overcome it and it was more due to age.

Have to feel sorry for Snaafi Dancer. What a price at auction, what a bust. Dear John Dunlop one stated that Snaafi Dancer wouldn't have beaten his dog in a race. Beautiful walk, though.
