Couldn't pay me to show her! I had a horse with the fairly common "armor" markings (chest, flanks, ears) and he was a beast and a half to keep white for a show day. Having NO color to cover it up? Hah, nice try!

That said, she's awfully cute. I'm so glad to hear there's a kid waiting for her when her racing days are over. That's a great fate for a horse.

I'm amazed at how snowy white she is in the photo above...not a speck of dirt on her, except on that back hoof. She must have been bathed and groomed to a fair thee well before she stepped out on the track...and it looks like the photo was taken before she'd gone far.
And, yeah, keeping her that clean will be a full time job, because you know how much horses love to roll in the nearest patch of dirt.

LOVE this thread! There's nothing prettier than a Chestnut Sabino TB in my opinion. I've always followed the stallions known to carry Sabino (Big Brown throws a lot of white as does Kittens Joy and Freud over their crops. Some of my favs currently racing are Shug's horse Imagining and Nikkis Sandcastle. Here's another one...

The most interesting thing about that colt is that the brindle patten is only on one side.If anyone is interested his dam is Lotta Luv and is lot 108 in the sale,I will watch with interest to see who buys him.

Update:Sold for $40,000 to Mr PK Ho (Macau).

Interesting that the markings are only on one side. Also notice that the opposite hooves have the same color. Very unique.

The hoof color is determined by the color of the pastern and coronet. If it's white, there is a light hoof. If the hair is dark, there's a dark hoof.
