So easy to say "Thank you" - yes, indeed.
I never saw the photos, and have been here pretty steadily this week. I'd love to see those pics.
Maybe because the Old Friends thread is in Breeding and Sales people didn't notice there was a new post?

As I stated, the read count after I posted those 13 photos increased by 100 in less than 12 hours.. So, no, it didn't have anything to do with the positioning. I am not going to repost the photos. It is a tremendous amount of work doing so.

Maybe we should set a post that stays on the top of thread titled as 'Photos' and we can upload pics there. Easier to spot perhaps?

Just a thought

Even tho I did not see your pictures, thank you for your time doing so. :)

Bal I saw your photos and appreciated them (from Nicanor to Little Silver Charm and War Emblem majestic and distant in his paddock), but I believe I was on my phone and therefore not logged in when I saw them, so no way to post a thank you at the time. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to thank you for sharing, because they were much enjoyed.
Also, keep in mind the views increasing isn't always indicative of the TBC members - unregistered user views are also tallied in the total view count. It is possible a lot of people who saw your photos couldn't even post on the forum to say thank you.
But I understand your frustrations it can be incredibly demoralizing to feel as though your contributions aren't justly valued.

I gotta tell ya, this is one strange thread an that’s saying something for here and the internet in general. I stumbled on this thread completely by accident. When I see something about Old Friends, I interject something about Bluesthestandard but I no longer harp on it. Being an artist, I believe in the power and subliminal nature of abstract input. I never thought about it again until yesterday when I saw over in the Racing forum that Bal went to OF last week. I knew in the past she liked to post photos and so I went to check. When I asked, if there was a problem, I truly expected to hear that it was taking up too much space and could only be up temporarily or it was some kind of financial burden. It never occurred to me they were taken down over hurt feelings, especially since I know haw difficult it is to post photos now. I used to post photos of Anniversary Year and Border Run until it began to take too much time. When the article came out online in January about Border Run, I was more tha happy to post the link because I get periodic PM’s asking to see photos of him. The read count never, ever occurred to me so I looked it up and the posts generated were absolutely dwarfed by the number of reads. On the article itself, I think there were five posts. Now never in a million years would I have thought to pull the thread do to a perceived lack of interest. After seeing the read count, yesterday, I figured that plenty of people saw the article, got their update and that was it. This isn’t to convey that one point of view is better than the other just different.

It did take up a lot of space. I often wonder who pays for it. I'd be happy to help. Didn't seem worthwhile to keep it up with no response. It took me well over an hour to craft that post. I shan't be doing it again anytime sooner or later. It's perfectly alright if you don't understand that.

Ever the peacemaker, Treve. Thanks. It's not so much the lack of thank yous. It's the lack of interest that I perceive. Maybe I should just accept that people aren't likely to express interest even though they are without saying so.

I can't fathom deleting a post full of photos, due to perceived 'lack of interest'. Sorry, that's just childish.

I'm sure tons of posts on here get lots of reads, are appreciated, but no one says thank you. Most stay up. I thought only millennials trolled for 'likes' these days.

For what it's worth, I DID see the photos and I quite enjoyed them. Particularly AP's lovely face, haven't seen him in years. If I'm not logged in on my home laptop, I can't get logged in elsewhere, and therefore can't post replies. Other days, like yesterday, I worked 12 1/2 hours, was gone 14, and only took a moment for a quick flip through the site. Read things, posted nothing.

Don't take a lack of replies so personally.

I wouldn't have put this in the Breeding and Sales forum, but since there was a thread there named Old Friends, I thought I'd just add to it. It really should go in Rescue/Adoptions.

Well, I missed them too and I know it was time-consuming to post them because I never could figure how to post photos of my pre-Derby trip! I may just load them on my Shutterfly share site and post the link here.
