[Flanders]

Hmmm I see they pulled La Verdad out of her stall to wrap all four legs... wonder what's up. Her filly was all tail-swishy the four minutes she was gone, though I assume still view through the stall door.

Could they be shipping back to NY soon? I don't know how long they stay.

They did say something about her going back in May, I just wondered how early/how far in advance they would wrap for that, since it's kinda late evening time there. But I don't know much about shipping horses...

Timber Town Fundraiser Showcases Top Mares

Cathy and Wayne Sweezey held a fundraiser at their Timber Town Stables in Lexington, Kentucky for the Bluegrass Land Conservancy May 1. The highlight of the event, which attracted around 50 paying guests, was a presentation and parade of five celebrity broodmares boarded at Timber Town and belonging to their friend and client Mandy Pope and her Whisper Hill Farm. First on show was Grade I winner and producer Unrivaled Belle (Unbridled’s Song), with her 2018 colt foal by Tapit. She was followed by dual Grade I winner Plum Pretty (Medaglia d’Oro), who has a Curlin filly at her side and is pregnant to champion Arrogate (Unbridled’s Song). Two-time champion female sprinter Groupie Doll (Bowman’s Band) was shown in her paddock, with her colt foal of April 19 by Tapit. Horse of the Year Havre de Grace (Saint Liam) then entered the ring and will be covered by Tapit again in 2018. The closing act was performed by dual Eclipse champion Songbird (Medaglia d’Oro), purchased for Whisper Hill Farm in November 2017 and now in foal to Arrogate.

Dam is actually Colorfull Seattle. Filly has already been named, War Colors.

Edited b/c I went and looked and War Dancer is bay & Colorfull Seattle is base coat bay... interesting though when I looked on Pedigree Query the 'War Colors' that pops up was from 1963 and he, too, was a "white" (maximum sabino/dominant white most likely).
