Ugh just learned that Zenyatta aborted her 2018 Into Mischief foal , hoping the big mare is ok. If anyone has news about her, please post.

That is horrible news. It would seem that she aborted pretty late in her pregnancy, or I'd think there would have been news before now. IIRC, she has not had problems with carrying her foals in the past, so this is an unexpected tragedy.
Zen has had so much bad luck with her foals since Ziconic. By all accounts, her War Fronts, especially the filly, looked really good. Into Mischief has become an outstanding sire and his speed could have been a perfect match with her stoutness.
Damn.

Equinline is run by the Jockey Club. I would take that as fact.FlyToTheStars wrote:there is word floating on facebook that Zenyatta aborted her foal. It is because Equineline mentioned it and it is said to be not always correct.
She slipped early in her first pregnancy and was bred again later to produce Cozmic One.BaroqueAgain1 wrote:That is horrible news. That's fairly common and normal for maiden mares.Flanders wrote: She slipped early in her first pregnancy and was bred again later to produce Cozmic One.
Once upon a time there was a horse named Kelso.

From the Zenyatta forum from one of the posters “On a private group I belong to, several people heard it from Dottie only two weeks ago that Zenyatta aborted the first foal after her first cover by Into Mischief and then she was rebred and she is due soon with the successful foal that took from the second cover. The rumor started because the last entry is not dated and no mention is made in writing of the second cover. “

The overly-ambitious jumps campaign of Daddy In The Dark continues in the Willowdale Steeplechase this Sunday. In timber racing land running in back-to-back weeks isn't out of the ordinary.
Last year's Willowdale winner and NSA Champion Timber Horse Doc Cebu, a 1/2 brother to millionaire Real Dandy, will be meeting him there.

So nice to see him run well after the long layoff and for a new trainer.Sparrow Castle wrote:Made You Look finished 1st by a nose, on May 11, 2018, at BELMONT PARK in Race 8.

Yeah, he's had a rough patch. I think it's interesting that Three Chimneys bought him out of their partnership with Let's Go Stables last summer and moved him from Pletcher to Chad Brown. Have to think that means they still believe in him, whatever was wrong was fixable, and he does great things this year!neighhey wrote:So nice to see him run well after the long layoff and for a new trainer.Sparrow Castle wrote:Made You Look finished 1st by a nose, on May 11, 2018, at BELMONT PARK in Race 8.
