I've noticed that Bird Town seems to be a very curious mare, just now she was standing by her stall door with her ears pricked forward watching someone or something.
There are other things that I could do, but there's really nothing that I love as much as horse racing. Chantal Sutherland

I just love Bird Town. Last night she was totally racing in her sleep, all four legs in motion sprawled out on her enormous side, and woke herself up.

Lurkey,
I agree she is fun to watch when she is sleeping. She seems restless tonight, swishing her tail a lot and lifting one of her hind feet repeatedly.

Sounds like she could be getting pre-labor cramping/twinges.

If it's the right hind (her right hind), she does that a lot. It's her resting foot of choice, usually. I know they said she was starting to get some milk in two days ago, I wish they'd put up another vid clip.
She'll probably go into full-on labor just before saddling up this Saturday.

They've wrapped Bird Town's tail...it can't be long now. I hope.
Give me that short lead, give me that win by a nose, get them all home safely!

Pretty baby appeared at about 11:10 p.m. PT. Backward question mark, looks like a bay. Momma fussing over it right now.

Bird Town is such a good mom. I just checked in on her and saw the filly. Baby laid down and mom laid right next to her, nuzzling and protecting her baby. So sweet.
