Did Spendthrift ever choose a name for Beholder’s foal in the Name That Foal contest?

I wouldn't be surprised if they are still sifting through entries.

Also, after 5 years, Kind (Danehill X Rainbow Lake, by Rainbow Quest), has finally produced a live foal. From Juddmonte's Twitter:

We are very excited to announce the arrival of a full-sister to FRANKEL. Stud Director UK Simon Mockridge: “Kind has produced us a quality Galileo filly with great presence born at 9.30pm on 27th February, weighing in at 118lbs”

Another NewYork Bred for First crop sire SPEIGHTSTER. Good colt* out of graded placed mare Jungle Tale. Breeders have been well rewarded for their first season support and are returning for more. Has 135 on his 2018 book already. SF will breed 4 more this season

I'm so glad that Kind had a healthy, beautiful filly. Even if the filly never has the sort of race record her brothers did, she will be a priceless addition to Juddmonte's broodmare band.

I received word about '18 It's In His Kiss's filly. She lost her fight, and was humanely euthanized.
I can post the entire email if anyone is interested.

Dear Kristen,

I am sorry to say that we had to put down the It’s In His Kiss filly born 3/11/18. It was a placenta previa and she aspirated great amount of meconium in utero. Her lungs were compromised in a serious way and she was born not breathing. We resuscitated her and she spent the last days of her life in the clinic at Rhinebeck.

The filly would have made a lovely horse. When she stood with help, she was beautifully conformed and had a sweet face, as well as long legs too, which Edition Farm always breeds for. We hoped to have a happy outcome, but it was not meant to be as she lost the fight to live even with all the help possible. Our wish is for the clinic to Hopefully use whatever is salvageable to help another foal in need. The mare is healthy and was sweet and patient in the clinic as she knew her baby was very sick. May the remaining and future foals at the farm live happy, healthy lives.

Awww, heartbreaking. She was a fighter, but the odds were too long against her. RIP little darling.

Yep, she was retired just before the 2017 breeding season.
