I can't wait for his seasonal debut, as he hasn't raced since his G3 win at Belmont Park in October last year.
I'm glad that he is trained by the great Bill Mott.
In the meantime, Hilda's Passion's 4th foal (colt by Orfevre) has been named Chef d'Oeuvre(JPN).

Here's the most recent update on the 3yo colt Solid Dream(GB)[Frankel(GB) x Danedream(GER)] who is now excercising mainly on a treadmill after his injury.tachyon wrote:Here are some updates about Solid Dream(GB), 2015C. Frankel(GB) x Danedream(GER), from a fan who visited him at the Shadai's training facility in Miyagi Prefecture on Jan 6th 2018.
Solid Dream(GB) sustained a chip fracture after he passed a gate test in November last year.
Then he had a surgery and has just started to walk recently.

Glad to have some news!
I was bummed when Nothing But Dreams suffered a tendon injury and was retired without ever starting, hoping Solid Dream can make his illustrious parents proud!

He looks slightly club-footed. Not the end of the world. I think Danedream has a slightly clubbed hind as well.

"Slight" is a bit generous , hind feet are more angled/narrow than fronts. Definitely not the end of the world if the horse stays sound on it and it doesn't cause compensatory issues elsewhere. . .Treve wrote:He looks slightly club-footed. Not the end of the world. I say slight because his pastern doesn't seem very visibly affected as it would in a severe case. Also I can't zoom in on the pictures and on the older pictures (where his hooves aren't shined) the angle doesn't look quite as drastic... so I wasn't sure if I was seeing correctly. I like to be certain before using confident adjectiveskatmandu wrote:"Slight" is a bit generous , hind feet are more angled/narrow than fronts. I did look at all the pictures and it is evident in all of them. And yes, the pastern is visibly straighter. It also appears that his right hind has an angular deformity as it also shows in all 3 pics (and video). However, that foot/pastern is a more normal angle. Having put a horse down last summer that we could no longer keep comfortable on an upright foot, I may be sensitive to such things. . .

Sorry, but even if the foot wasn't iffy, I don't find him to be very attractive. Great parents, but maybe not the best results in this boy.
Now watch him turn into a G1 racehorse.

It's evident of course that's not what I'm disputing, I'm just saying it isn't drastic enough that I'd hit the ceiling and start panic just yet . I probably didn't express myself clearly in the sense that "I know I saw the foot is clubbed and the angles aren't great, but I wasn't sure exactly how bad or not that it was"... we had a quarter horse with a club foot that also became navicular, so I know how badly things can go, unfortunately Sorry to hear about your horse as well.katmandu wrote:I did look at all the pictures and it is evident in all of them. And I agree, he's not all bad and I think given time to develop and get back working he will be a different horse entirely. But even if he weren't a looker... neither was Kincsem. Didn't hurt her record.

Will's Pioneer (Pioneerof the Nile x Holy Bubbette, full to Cairo Prince) is set to make his debut March 22nd at Oaklawn in the 7th.
Facing the Asmussen trainee in the 6f MSW will be (amongst others) sons of Maclean's Music, Twirling Candy, Ghostzapper, Tapizar, Super Saver, Congrats and Data Link.
Considering he's a 3yo they really took their time with him...

He finished 2nd by 3 3/4 Lengths behind the other Asmussen trainee, Share the Upside (Maclean's Music x Mystic Silver). He was ahead by 1 1/4 length of the betting/ML favourite.Treve wrote:Will's Pioneer (Pioneerof the Nile x Holy Bubbette, full to Cairo Prince) is set to make his debut March 22nd at Oaklawn in the 7th.
