Do you mean if a mare had a foal this year? Breeders are supposed to file the paperwork within 30 days of the foals birth. Once the Jockey Club receives it, you should be able to see if she had a foal on Equineline or the BC Nomination site. Otherwise, yes I think you have to pay for the reports.

Thank you for your reply. Yep...if the mare foaled this year. There's no need for me to join The Jockey Club, so I will try Equineline.

First foal is a filly for Texas Bling

The first foal by Texas Bling, the most successful son of Texas’ perennial leading sire Too Much Bling, was born Sunday morning, Jan. 28. The filly is out of the stakes-winning mare I’m Workin On It.

Texas Bling stands at ESMS on the Brazos in Weatherford, Texas, for $1,500 as the property of Hall’s Family Trust. He entered stud in 2017.

Texas Bling’s first foal is a chestnut filly with a full blaze and three white stockings.

“She is a blinger,” said Danele Durham, who trained Texas Bling for Hall’s Family Trust.

First foal is a colt for Darby Dan’s Protonico

Darby Dan Farm’s Protonico, the four-time graded stakes-winning son of Giant’s Causeway, sired his first reported foal on Jan. 23 when a colt was born at Sumaya Farm in Paris, Ky.

Bred by Oussama Aboughazale’s International Equities Holdings Inc., the bay colt is out of the Empire Maker mare Bonnie’s Empire, who hails from the immediate family of Grade 1 winners Chief Bearhart and Explosive Red.

“This colt possesses a lot of the stallion’s qualities,” said Frances Relihan, manager of Sumaya Farm. “He has a strong body and is very balanced, with a lot of bone. We are really looking forward to seeing him develop.”
