Quick Martin has a horrible shoulder, no angle to it at all. Would be a miserable horse to ride.

Silvery Moon is spectacular. I still am getting used to seeing Thoroughbreds whose color is anything other than bay/brown, chestnut, or gray/roan, but it sure is fun to see flashy horses like Silvery Moon.

Is Silvery Moon allowed in the UK/US studbooks? Or is he still part of the line they're using to develop the 8 generation rule? I seem to remember that this brand of paint doesn't show up in TBs traditionally...

ETA: Nevermind! He's a Racy Remarque line. I'm thinking of Angrove Stud.

Not in love with most of the new French stallions. Maybe it just bugs my esthetic sense, but there seem to be a few with ewe necks, or necks set awkwardly on not-fabulous shoulders. :?
If I imagine Silvery Moon as a bay, IMHO he is built very nicely. I wonder if the German Olympic show jumping team will have a batch of flashy paints in their stable in a decade or so? :D

Castle du Berlais is quite nice - note his bone and strong hind end. His neck does tie in a bit low but that's not the part you ride ;) .

De Treville and Shaiban are both conformational trainwrecks though. I don't know why they even let that photo of De Treville be used for advertising.

Xanthus Farms also breeds sporthorses though so that is what some of those sires are being used for.

If they were serious about sporthorse breeding they'd actually train and show their stallions in that realm. None of them have pedigrees that are particularly notable for sporthorse breeding either. Just because you can call a mediocre racehorse or a horse of a rare color a "sporthorse stallion" doesn't make it so.
