I'm new to these lists. To quote DFR: These standings provide a measurement of a sire’s ability to produce high-quality horses, not necessarily the most winners or highest earners. The results are interesting, especially for the 100+ horses.

Kitten's Joy #1? Yeah, I'd say that's interesting.
And also very, very cool. 8-)

That order is based on runs rather than runners?

Yes. The lists I posted above are ranked by runs over 100+, although I stated erroneously that they were by runners. You can, however also sort the rankings by the number of a sire's runners that have Beyer figures at 100+

According to the databases, Kitten's Joy's foals have hit BSP 100+ 17 times; six of KJ's foals achieved that figure.

If you ranked the sires by # of get to hit 100+ BSF:

1. Curlin (7 horses)
1. War Front (7)
1. Dubawi (7)

2. Smart Strike (6)
2. Galileo (6)
2. Kitten's Joy (6)

3. Lookin At Lucky (5)
3. Scat Daddy (5)
3. MDO (5)
3. Tapit (5)

However you sort the lists, you will find the names you more or less expect to find; Lookin At Lucky and Stormy Atlantic show up more often in the upper levels than I might have guessed, however.

Stormy Atlantic has always been a sire of very good horses, but flies under the radar because his sales aren’t through the roof, and a lot of them are turf horses. He’s one of my favourites!

Interesting that Smart Strike and two of his sons are in the top ten, and two turf sires by El Prado.

I think it's better to separate turf and dirt here. I also think the % of runners hitting that Beyer are interesting to note.

Top 5 Dirt Sires (by #horses 90+ Beyers)
Malibu Moon (10%)
Curlin (12%)
Candy Ride (10%)
Tapit (9%)
Quality Road (10%)

Top 5 Turf Sires (by # horses 90+ Beyers)
War Front (30% of runners)
Kittens Joy (10%)
Giants Causeway (12%)
English Channel (12%)
Scat Daddy (9%)

His numbers are always very good, across the board.

I found all of this very interesting, like playing around with it.
