nnooooo, whiskers not for trimmin'. it's not good for them. (not bad in that it won't kill them, just, not good either. it's banned in germany and switzerland as animal cruelty.)

Oh, I know better now of course. It was just drilled into me as a kid that hairs on the chinny-chin-chin looked "untidy". Nose whiskers were passable at least.

Funtastic (More Than Ready), a 1/2 to Saint Liam (and G2W Quiet Giant, the dam of Gun Runner), was a narrow 2nd in the Gio Ponti S. today at AQU. Seems to be an improving horse.

After running mostly on turf, Prime Attraction went back to the main track and picked up his first stakes win in the Native Diver (gr. III). He's by Unbridled's Song and out of a half-sister to Vindication.

This guy is an entire and a Graded Stakes winner in 2014 at Woodbine; Oxley owned/Casse trained. This is his first race since 4/2/2016 when he finished 4th in the Appleton Stakes (G3). He finished 2nd in the 2/13/2016 Tampa Bay Stakes (Gr. 3) but was DQ'd to 4th. Always thought he had some talent, but long breaks between workouts and races suggests issues. Now with new owner/trainer.

Sky Captain finished 8th beaten by 6 lengths, on December 1, 2017, at WOODBINE in Race 8.
Off odds: 7.30

Nice second, closed well.
As an interesting note- the dam of the winner - Queens's College- is also the dam of King's House- by Harlington- a horse with some talent in the claiming ranks. He runs tonight at CT
