That's a colt, AFAIK he isn't named yet. Out of Madre Bonita in 2017, sired by Tosen Homareboshi. I think there are pics of him earlier in this thread, if not he will be in the Foals of 2017 thread for sure.

Who is this?
His dam Madre Bonita(JPN)(by Jungle Pocket) is a 1/2 to Peer Gynt(JPN)(by Sunday Silence), multiple grade stakes winner & sire of multiple G2 winner Flamboyant(FR) who finished 2nd in the G2 San Gabriel at Santa Anita on Saturday.
His second dam Twinkle Bride(JPN)(by Lyphard) was the G1 Oka Sho runner-up.

This colt could be very good, Starine. ;)

Ugh. I don’t like white TBs. I’ll never understand why people like them so much.

I second that. These ones weren't bred for color though, they just happened.

Many I like......this one in particular I find a bit pig-eyed, and he's terribly thick through the throat latch!

He'll be hard to miss during a race.
I can't help but look at a horse with so much white on the face/muzzle and think, 'he'll need lots of sunscreen.' :P
And white is also not my favorite color on a horse, especially when it has no pigment around the eyes. Pink eyelids and pale lashes do tend to make a horse's eyes look 'piggish.' :(

Agreed. It's one thing for a decently bred white Thoroughbred mare with a good track record to be added to a breeding program, but there are so many white/bred for colour sporthorse nags with no bloodlines to speak of and even less talent that continue to be bred. I guess breeders who make $5,000-$10,000 dollars off of a flashy foal are still making profit, but they're literally aiming to breed mediocre horses.

Can you tell that breeding for colour a hot button issue for me!

He's only 3/4 TB, but check out this guy's Birdcatcher spots. His name is Magic Replica, by the TB sporthorse stallion Mystic Replica out of a TB x Belgian mare by Travelling Music. No Appaloosa in him!. Apparently he was born plain bay and the white spots only showed up when he was 5-6 years old.

I second that... he really is a "solid" looking fellow as I said! I've seen many of the white TBs with better looking eyes and more elegant heads overall. I think I like a lot of the Japanese ones for that reason they're not usually bred specifically for the colour.

Birdcatcher spots can show up later in life? I didn't know!
