That is a tremendous turf pedigree; Temple City/Dynaformer on top, and Nureyev on the bottom. I wonder if we will see this well-bred colt in the BC Juvenile Turf?

They didn't nominate him to to the G3 turf race for 2YOs at Keeneland on 10/8 or similar race at Belmont on 9/30, but did nominated him to the Grey S. at Woodbine on 10/1.

He won his maiden race a week ago, rather remarkable.Starine wrote:He certainly did. You have to wonder where he'll show up next, especially with Dickinson saying that trying dirt is a "definite possibility."

Ziconic runs next in the 6th at Santa Anita, a 1 1/16-mile MSW on the dirt. Maybe he'll finally break his maiden?

Traffic trouble.
Up for 3rd @ 7/2.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

It was a $50,000 purse, so I would guess that a third place at least has him paying for his room and board.
But he fell WAY back again, even though it looked like Victor was trying to urge him to pick up the pace. That running style just isn't going to work for a horse who has nowhere near the size or stride length of his dam. Yes, he made up ground well enough to finish a closing third, but...
Patient John could be losing his patience with this colt.

The upcoming 4th race at Keeneland, a 1 1/16-mile MSW for 2yo on the dirt, is full of well-bred babies. Includes Meistermind (Bodemeister x Mining My Own) and Eclipsed Moon (Malibu Moon x Beautician).

The upcoming Hill Prince at Belmont has a couple of colts we've been following here: Yoshida (Heart's Cry x Hilda's Passion) and Ticonderoga (Tapit x Keertana). It's a pretty salty field.
ETA: Yoshida won, although for a while I thought he was never going to get through a clot of horses near the wire. He found room and finished with a flourish.
And now there's an inquiry.
