That's exactly how I saw it...then Espinoza tried to skate the rail, and that didn't work.

But I do wish they'd send Azeri to someone else.
Same here.

Azeri has yet to produce any stakes winner in Japan.
Hopefully Shirvanshah will be the one, while his full brother 4yo Leukerbad will try again in a G3 at Niigata next week.
Deep Impact must be a very consistent sire and his offspring sell extremely well at the sale.
But, needless to say, he is not always the best match for the US import mares.
I personally hope that Katsumi Yoshida (Northern Farm) will send Azeri & some other top mares to such younger stallions as Orfevre, Maurice and Duramente, even if these three Shadai-based stallions are not yet proven. (I especially look forward to Duramente (by King Kamehameha))
Azeri is already 19 years old.
Leukerbad was 8th of a field of 17 in the G3 Niigata Kinen 2000m turf on Sep 3rd 2017.
(only 0.2 seocnd to the winner, though)

That's a lot of money for an Arch colt. I certainly would love to see him go on to bigger things, because I just love the Kris S line.

Edited to add: I also just noticed his second dam is Heavenly Prize. What a nicely bred colt.

So Moonshine Memories won the Del Mar Debutante (gr. I) yesterday. She's by Malibu Moon out of Unenchanted Evening, a half-sister to Horse of the Year Favorite Trick.

It's not Fox Hill Farm silks but same colors and similar sleeves. Instilled Regard is owned by OXO Equine LLC.
Their silks: Red, "OXO" in white circle emblem, red bars on white sleeves, red cap

Thanks for the correction. Right now any red and white silks are reminding me of Songbird, I guess. ;)

Here's a pedigree to die for: Royal Line, by Dubawi out of Melikkah, a half-sister to Galileo and Sea the Stars, won his debut easily at Windsor today. He races in the Darley colors in the name of Sheikh Mohammed and Princess Haya's nine-year=old daughter.

Sold to Shadai Farm for $210,000 at KEESEPT16, Asakusa Genki is full to G3 winner Assateague, half to GSWs Kindergarden Kid and Rainha Da Bateria. He's also half to BC Juvenile runner up, He's Had Enough.

Did anyone else catch that ultra impressive Smarty Jones winner Pavel is a half-brother to the venerable Caracortado?

I hope Madam Milan becomes something special. La Ville Rouge is pensioned now but, after giving us a bunch of boys who had to live in the shadow of their late brother, she blessed her owners with three Bernardini daughters. :D

Only two? She had 3yo Moe'ne Davis (sorry if I mangled the spelling), 2yo Madam Milan, and the filly she had just before she was pensioned, who would be a yearling now. Did something happen to the yearling? :(

Madame Milan was a yearling when she was pensioned. She did not have a foal last year. Mo'ne is 4 and she had no foal on 2014.

That is so cool...to see our Kitten's Joy having success in Japan. :D He's a gorgeous colt.
So proud of KJ...even if all those "Kitten" names do drive some people a little crazy. :P
