CJ, Tiz Wonderful, and Tizway are all in Korea now. I'm hopeful that the sire line will thrive there and be preserved for at least a few more generations.

Why does Korea prize Tiznow's line and we don't? :(
Do we still have any of his better sons standing here, besides Gemologist?

Mr. Hot Stuff was scratched. Maybe the softer ground (it was raining) wasn't best for him?

Irap is building a decent racing resume. Being a half to Speightstown doesn't hurt. It will be interesting to see if he stays in the U.S. when he does go to stud.

Kitten Smitten finished 1st by a nose, on July 24, 2017, at PRESQUE ISLE DOWNS in Race 2.

Your comments for this horse were: Medaglia d'Oro - Precious Kitten, by Catienus; half to Divining Rod; Lael
(Divining Rod is back on the workout tab at Fair Hill.)

Her 2YO 1/2 sister, Jehozacat (by Tapit, so full to Divining Rod), is entered for Sunday at Laurel. My reaction to that name hasn't stopped being  :P

Thanks. This one wasn't in my VS.

I'm not sure what they were going for with that name, but I am sure that I don't like it.

Another PK daughter, Adopt Me (Street Cry), has a daughter in training, Ajfan (Animal Kingdom), for Shadwell. I think she is with Danny Peitz, but I'm not 100% positive

Her 2YO 1/2 sister, Jehozacat (by Tapit, so full to Divining Rod)....

Maybe it's a play on the name Jehosaphat?

Most likely, it is. I still don't like it. However, it is better than the name of Oatsee's 2YO.

Yeah, that's what made it sound biblical to me, that and Jehozadak.

I really don't like it either, especially with the substitution of "cat" at the end of this name. It's almost a toss up to me, but I agree, can't get much worse than Happy Hoofer, which BTW she isn't the first with that name. Pedigree Query lists a 1999 model. #notmykindofsenseofhumor

Thanks, forgot about PK's unraced daughter, just added Ajfan to my VS.

In addition to Irish War Cry in the Haskell and Irish Strait in the Monmouth S., broodmare Irish Sovereign will also be represented by daughter Irish Defence (First Defence) in the John J. Reilly H. (for NJ-breds) Sunday at Monmouth.

Talk about a Mother's Day!
Frank could dedicate the day to her...except for the whole Haskell Day thing. :P

Leyenda(JPN), a King Kamehameha 2yo full brother to Japanese Derby winner Rey de Oro(JPN), won easily on debut going 1800m turf at Sapporo 5R Newcomer on July 30th 2017.
Like his brother, Leyenda is trained by Kazuo Fujisawa and ridden by Christophe Lemaire.

...and his grand-dam Lady Blond is a half-sister to Deep Impact, by Seeking the Gold  I thought he won impressively, hand-ridden all the way and passed the others very easily.
