If Caravaggio gets retired at the end of this year (which could be possible, as Coolmore really needs to find a Scat Daddy son to fill his big shoes), it could be very interesting to see her matched with a horse like that, who has speed to burn. And being out of a Holy Bull mare might give him a layer of stamina.

They already have No Nay Never, a G1 winning sprinter son of Scat Daddy, though I still wouldnt be surprised if Caravaggio did get retired at the end of the year.

IMHO, Caravaggio is a better horse on the track, in his conformation and I like his pedigree better. Feeling nostalgic about Holy Bull, maybe, but hasn't HB turned out to be a very good broodmare sire?

Kaitlin Free is a fan who posts a lot on horseracingnation, I would wait until an official post from Team Zenyatta/Bloodhorse/Spendthrift before deciding it is gospel.

I figured Jerry just said that she was getting a year off to keep people off their backs.

Zenyatta's offspring need speed. Into Mischief is a great source.

If true, it's nice to see a little imagination/thoughtfulness in play. They're not breeding to sell, why not look outside the top flavours for something that may nick better.

Maybe she didn't like Malibu Moon . Wonder if the Spendthrift thing has something to do with Gormley going there?

yikes - I don't know if I am more surprised that Zen is in foal again already (and the sire choice is interesting) - - or that Cozmic One is racing this sunday at del mar - on turf - I don't think his head was in the game a couple of years ago - curious to see how he does on the green stuff - big handsome boy - but not sure he is that interested in the racing game - in any case..... wishing Zen a happy and healthy pregnancy and foal next year - and will be rooting for Coz too!

Yeah I like the IM choice for speed. Wasn't the sire ppl were thinking of, but he could prove to be a good choice and it's outside the box.
Certainly bodes well that one of his daughters won at Toga today ;)

My impression, based on very limited evidence, is that IM really stamps his foals.

Finally, a Storm Cat line stallion for her. Nothing against Bernardini or Tapit or War Front or MDO, but this mare needs some serious speed infused into her.

Still holding out hope for Uncle Mo. what does she match up to City Zip with? Maybe even Speightstown.

As much as it would make me fangirl squeal, Uncle Mo is too big for her.

He's also producing some with soundness issues - Royal Mo and Conquest Mo Money are two high profile breakdowns this season.
With Zenyatta's bulk, that doesn't seem a good match-up.

When it was announced about City Zip, I was sad. I liked him & always thought that he and Z would make a good/interesting cross. Could've perhaps infused some speed and early interest.

Saw some speculation on here a while back about Ann and Jerry Moss.
Confirmed on the website that they are divorcing, for what it's worth.....

Not sure it's new on a racing board, but it was mentioned here at least.
