2yo Mendelssohn, a Scat Daddy half-brother to Beholder and Into Mischief, finished 8th in his debut today at the Curragh. The Pentagon was the impressive winner; he's by Galileo out of G1 winner Vadawina.

ETA: Mendelssohn was the $3M sales topper at Keeneland September last year.

I wouldn't be concerned about an Aidan O'Brien two year old finishing down the field on debut. He's had a couple already this year who didn't dazzle at first but really impressed next time out. His horses get their conditioning on the track, I would expect him to improve next time out.

Well, there's still time to breed her this year.
Gold Serenade is entered to run on July 10, 2017, at PRESQUE ISLE DOWNS.
Your comments for this horse were: 2014 Medaglia d'Oro - Serena's Song, by Rahy
2nd- but well behind winner.

Meadowsweet (Smart Strike x Tranquility Lake) just won the 3rd at Del Mar, a 1 1/16-mile AOC on the turf. It was close, as the favorite, Pacific Wind, appeared to overtake Meadowsweet in the stretch, but she re-rallied and kept her nose in front. Nice, brave win.
Tranquility Lake is such a good broodmare.

Really nice to see she left the Wygod's with a promising filly.

And Tapit has been well represented in JRA lately, too. 8-)

Cozmic One is about to run in the 9th at Del Mar. Sonneteer is the favorite, but Coz is a handsome sucker. Wish he could run to his looks.

He seems to be channeling his mom today, but not expecting much after 2 years off given his first 2 races.
