I haven't seen Raison d'Etat since he was running. He looked like the typical big-bodied A.P. Indy to me. I don't know how much corrective surgery Juddmonte does on their homebreds, but it would be interesting to know whether he had any procedures.

His first crop was only 19 horses, but he did have 36 foals last year. Looks like he's had 3 starters and no placings so far.

I'm sure the common ownership was the primary factor. We Miss Artie's conformation pic is terrible. I've seen him at the track a few times and he's definitely not bad looking. His pasterns are too long and I'm not crazy about his neck. Other than that, I wouldn't knock him too much. I think the El Prado inbreeding on the resulting foal is a bit much.
