He looks great. I wonder how many mares he has covered this year. The usual trend for non Shadai imports is big numbers, big numbers, then if they dont make it by then, a sharp drop in mares covered.

They're holding out a little hope that the brilliant colt might make it back to race. I hope he can, because this three-year-old crop could use some pizazz. ;)

Always thought of Hansel as a damned fine looking horse! Rest in peace. So glad he had a good, long life.
Give me that short lead, give me that win by a nose, get them all home safely!

After 6 seasons at Coolmore and not too many nice progeny, 5 time G1 winner, 3 timw Royal Ascot winner, and 'The best horse' Richard Hannon snr has ever trained, Canford Cliffs has been sold to Highlands Stud in South Africa

https://www.racingpost.com/bloodstock/b ... d%20Cliffs

I get that it is a business and if they sold Henrythenavigator and Duke of Marmalade they dont have any sentimental attachment, and that CC hasnt exactly set the world on fire... but geeze, he was one great racehorse. Money talks but I am surprised no other smaller stud in Europe took him on

Guess it depends how much they were asking for vs how much people were willing to pay.
