There are a bunch of other Coolmore bluebloods in it, so it will be interesting to see who goes. We've also got Berkeley Square (Galileo/Homecoming Queen), US Navy Flag (War Front/Misty For Me) and Rostropovich (Frankel 1/2 to Zoffany), among others.
Mendelssohn didn't stay in the race. None of the ones I mentioned did :D The Coolmore horses running are 2 Galileo colts, Gustav Klimt (o/o Massarra) and Somerset Maugham (o/o Fire Lily). Ryan More rides Gustav Klmit.

Rostropovich and Berkeley Square ran in a maiden today at Leopardstown, along with stablemate Coat of Arms (Galileo/La Traviata, full to Seventh Heaven). They were 7th, 6th and 10th, respectively.

I was milling abut on the webpage for Kincsem Park and saw that a daughter of Overdose (GB) was running today for the first time in the 7th at 13:30 local time. I believe this could be his first starter (in Hungary?) after a tragically shortened stud career.
It is his first of two crops (he stood in Hungary for a year then in Germany for his second year).

I think Rubilinda may have been the most impressive first timer I've called since Curlin.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

An imaginary investigation into breeding Zenyatta to Fort Larned led me to the news his 1/2 sister Walkabout (Stroll x Arlucea) won the G3 Matron last week.

Night for Overdose (Overdose x Night For Music) ran second in the 800m qualifier and thus, qualified.

Geez, I remember him as a yearling. He already looked like he'd been at stud for a few years.

Whoa, that's a seriously solid chunk of yearling! :D Looks like he's having some success as a steeplechaser...he's won 2 of his 3 starts this year. In case anyone's interested, the video of his win on the 21st may be found here: http://www.nationalsteeplechase.com/201 ... eplechase/
