Texas Red is a very well-balanced, attractive horse. My first thought looking at him through my equestrian eyes is "I'd ride him!" :)

I know she's not a stallion, but... Soul Stirring JPN (Frankel x Stacelita) is pretty as a picture, no?

She is quite pretty. Takes a lot after mom.

She looks like one of those classic oil paintings of thoroughbreds. Can't wait to see her mature.

Soul Stirring resembles her dam. I like that her maternal grandsire is the great German stallion Monsun, mostly because he is can be a valuable source of outcrossing (hybrid vigor).

Hybrid vigor is a misused term/concept. It only applies to interspecies crosses - Mules, Ligers, Coywolves, Wolfdogs etc. Would be hybrids. Two horses of different breeds wouldn't be, much less two of the same breed from different lines.
Outcrossing to a different line does increase genetic diversity and heterozygousness, but it's not hybrid vigor.

He gets that from his sire. His legs looked like tree trunks- the most solid I have ever seen in a TB.

I love Americain- such a stunning individual.

He covered 50 mares last year.
The yearling Americains in this sale, for the most part, look to me to be on the sturdier side...

Chunky little guy, isn't he? Beautiful head, showing that Arabian lineage, but that belly looks like a well-fed Welsh Cob's.

Maybe not so 'little.' He's listed as 16.0¼ (1.63m) on his Weatherby's Stallion page. I presume that's 16.025 hands? A hair over 16?
Not too tall, but not really Welsh Cob size.

Nah, he's just fat. A shame, I thought founder-ready TB stallions was a strictly American phenomenon.

:o I think I have a horse-crush on Vancouver. I know MdO sires nothing but good-looking offspring, but I think he outdid himself with that glossy Aussie.
