I try to follow news about Chrome very closely. He has been doing great in the shed and getting his mares in foal. I think his first book is about 140-160. Somewhere there was a partial list of some of the mares bred to him, but I don't know where to find it again. Some very nice mares in his first book. He will shuttle to Chile ( ) sometime in June after our breeding season is over.Retrospectiv wrote:Other than announcing his 1st mare in foal, haven't seen any other postings about prominent mares in foal to California Chrome.
Taylor Made bought three mares outright to breed to the stallions standing at their farm, and they have invited the public to participate in selecting one of the mares to breed to Chrome. Here's an Apr. 28 article about it: http://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/ta ... Nw.twitter
He's happy, healthy, getting tons of visitors (and cookies), and has been well-received by breeders. Can't ask for more than that at this stage of his stud career.
