oh my gosh they are adorable pix - so sweet - she is a little doll - and is it just me..... or is she really little? I don't know much about baby horses but she just looks very small to me, even for a new baby - but she is very cute - and wishing both dear Zenyatta and her new little girl tons of great health and happiness - you just have to smile seeing baby horses - too cute!

Cute foal, but aren't they all?? I'm thinking the size of Z makes the foal look small.

and that is certainly very true..... Zenyatta is and always has been a glorious amazon - her little girl does look very leggy and 'girly' - Zen is such a loving and doting mom - very happy they have each other!

The filly's 'star' looks more like a round, full moon. Maybe a name like Golden Moon, Zen Moon, Z Gold Moon?

Liz-Z or LizE or something like that? Feminine.
Give me that short lead, give me that win by a nose, get them all home safely!

I'd call her, Princess Zora.
Been waiting for this news since I found out Zenyatta was bred to MDO who I think was a good racehorse and is an excellent sire. Now waiting for The Queen to be mated to A. Pharoah. Throw in Curlin and Ghostzapper too.

I've heard many say Curlin wouldn't be a good match because of size - big sire plus big mare may result in a foal that would be dangerously large for Z to carry/deliver.Big Ten wrote:I'd call her, Princess Zora.

Deep Impact is on the smaller side...
(OMG can you just imagine the wailing & lamentation if they sent her to Japan to be bred... )
Here's hoping this little girl grows up safe & strong.

Well, if that's what you want, just send her to Yeats. He's closer.

What a sweet filly.
I hope they try her again with War Front. The two foals they lost were beautiful.
