BTW both these horses won their races at EMD Saturday. And their half sister, Sweetrayofsunshine, won her race at Aqueduct Saturday too. Hmm...

Spring Photos from Zenyatta.com
It’s an exciting time of the year. The Derby is approaching, and Zenyatta is preparing to give birth to her fifth foal. She is in great health and on track for a mid-May foaling. We will keep you posted as the big day nears. Alys took some great images of Zenyatta on Friday enjoying a beautiful Kentucky spring day.

Very sad news.

War Front colt ex Wishing Gate. Wishing Gate died after foaling. Just 7 years old. Very tough for all of us that enjoyed being around her.

Sorry to post more sad news.

Sad to hear registered white mare Turf Club & her in-utero Daredevil colt died Tuesday. Mare was battling GI issues on and off for months.

I feel for Bernick and the Glen Hill team, they've had a downright brutal foaling season. First the equally young Pontchatrain, then Wishing Gate

She is the dam of Black Tide(JPN)(the sire of Kitasan Black, urguably one of the best grandsons of Sunday Silence), too. ;)

The Sunday Silence - Wind In Her Hair cross was really phenomenal. :D

Looks like she's in foal, although that's probably just 'mommy' belly. Still a beautiful mare. Sometimes I think Frankel & his bros take after Kind more than their sire.
I wonder if she IS in foal again, to Galileo, of course? :P

Hill 'n' Dale buys half-interest in Arrogate dam
John G. Sikura’s Hill ‘n’ Dale Farm has acquired a 50 percent interest in Bubbler, the dam of champion Arrogate.

The 11-year-old Distorted Humor mare is in foal to perennial leading sire Tapit for what would be her fifth foal. She was previously owned entriely by Clearsky Farms.

Arrogate, by Unbridled’s Song, is Bubbler’s first and only foal to race. He was named champion 3-year-old male of 2016 and owns victories in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Classic, Pegasus World Cup, and Travers Stakes, as well as the Group 1 Dubai World Cup.

"We are very excited about Bubbler's future, with her second, third, and fourth foals yet to race, and hopefully we can both share some success with her,” Sikura said. "As the dam of Arrogate, the world's highest-rated racehorse, and in foal to classic sire Tapit, we feel Bubbler is a remarkable opportunity to enhance our brand. Our goal is to continue to assemble a world-class broodmare band and associate with leading breeders like Clearsky Farm."
