I seen some races from there, and wonder how they run on that surface- it's beyond sloppy!

Wonderful news about Angiolo (ARG)!

Haras La Quebrada is going through a restructuring and reduction phase and is offering its broodmare band at auction. What I wouldn't give to have a (much) larger bank balance and the ability to hop on a plane to Argentina!

Maybe a few of those will make it back to the States. Any reason given as to why they are dispersing their broodmare band? This is a seriously nice group, and I wonder about the studs there as well?

In the Turf Diario article, it seemed like it was a logistics issue. They have well over 200 mares and foaling out 200+ foals each year was getting to be too much. They'll keep some of the young stock and try to have a select group of ~40 broodmares. The article also talked about doing some different things in partnership. I don't think the stallions should be affected too much.

South American results for 5/11:

All About Eve (ARG) was 8th.
Calamo (ARG) was 10th.

4 entered tomorrow, including Chocoloca (ARG) as the 131 lb highweight in the Handicap Perrier. (Just a bit of trivia, she's currently #6 in terms of total earnings for Grand's South American foals.)

Catching up with the grandkids...

Comico Genial (ARG) won a 1400m conditional race at San Isidro. I know that they've got a long stretch there, but it's ridiculous how far back he came from. The 3YO son of Indygo Shiner-Gran Comica is now 10-2-1-0.

https://youtu.be/Jvin5IR3fL0

La Adoration (ARG), a 3YO filly by Archipenko out of Angiolo's full sister Candia, has now won 2 straight. Her record is 7-3-2-1.

Meant to post this earlier, but Grand had 2 winners on 5/3.

El Vodevil (ARG) took the 1st race by 4 lengths. His record is now 14-2-1-1. His two wins have come at 1600m and 2000m at San Isidro.

Caipi Osaka (ARG) broke her maiden in the 2nd race by 2.
