OMG just realized Time to Travel is a FULL brother to Hard Not To Like! Bred and owned by Garland Williamson, who also bred and owned Hard Not To Like...very cool. Gotta keep an eye on this one! In his only other start he finished 4th behind Timeline, another Hard Spun colt who is entered in race #8, a one mile AOC this coming Thursday at Aqueduct. Maybe two good ones!Happy Endings wrote:Time to Travel had a very snappy MSW win yesterday at Gulfstream park in race #3. Won by nearly 5 lengths.

Timeline had an easy time of it in his allowance race today. He won by 13 1/2 lengths! Time of 1:36.95 on a sloppy track. His record is now 2-2-0-0. Well, Hard Spun ran well in the mud, so I guess that is no huge surprise that he can, too.

He sure scooted away from that field in short order!

Oh, my, I hope they aren't doing this to try and get him in the Derby. He's just coming off a maiden win on April 1 for goodness sake! Time to Travel is entered in the Lexington Stakes at Keeneland this coming Saturday. Does that race have points? I hope not.

IIRC, the winner gets only 10 points. Whoever wins this race is not getting into the Derby unless they already have about 30.

Thanks for that info. Glad to hear it. It would be throwing him to the wolves. He's too inexperienced.BaroqueAgain1 wrote:IIRC, the winner gets only 10 points. Whoever wins this race is not getting into the Derby unless they already have about 30.

Well here's an interesting tidbit about another runner in the Lexington Stakes. Souper Tapit is out of Zo Impressive, talented winner of the G1 Mother Goose from Hard Spun's first crop. I think she was second to Questing in the CCA Oaks, and then 4th in the Alabama and injured in that race and retired.

Timeline's connection are looking at the G3 Peter Pan Stakes on May 13 at Belmont Park for him. He earned a BSF of 102 in his allowance win last week.

TIme to Travel finished 4th after leading for a while. He last raced just 2 weeks ago and he had never raced at a route distance before. So he probably got tired. THey were saying it was a very tiring track today.

TAMLEEK was another good looking maiden winner for Hard Spun today at Newmarket in GB.

DIADURA returns in race 1, an allowance, at Wiloodbine this Friday. She's been off for 6 months. Looked really good in her first 2 races last fall and the didn't lift a hoof in the Alcibides. Hoping that last was a fluke. Returning to the all weather surface should help, too.

Portmagee won the License Fee Stakes today at Belmont Park. Summer Reading finished third. I believe she is Hard Spun's 60th stakes winner!
