Omg I love the mauve leg wraps! I have some dark purple ones at the barn but I need these!
She's very pretty that's for sure, so racy and dainty looking!

Encouraging news for Heavenly Romance as a dirt dam. Hope they consider trying her with some of the other top sires in the US not just Tapit :)

Figured this was as good a place as any to post this new JRA video to promote racing. Even though I don't understand the language, I thought it was beautiful to watch.

I believe this was the last race for A Shin Hikari, as well. He tore off to a multi-length lead in the Cup, but ended up being passed by almost the whole field in the stretch. He has never managed to recapture the brilliant form he showed earlier this year in the Prix d'Ispahan.
Maurice, on the other hand, has been one of the most consistently brilliant horses I've seen over the last two years, and I wish him the very best in the shed....where I suspect he will be VERY well supported. ;)
It was a good day for the Japanese, as Satono Crown just managed to nail Highland Reel at the wire in the Vase. He may not always get the win, but Highland Reel has also been reliably brilliant for the last couple of years. He's going to be five in a few weeks and I wonder if the gorgeous son of Galileo will also be headed for the breeding shed this spring? Maybe after he runs in the Pegasus? :P

Highland Reel is staying in training for 2017. I wouldn't be surprised if they sent him to the Pegasus Cup, he really is a trier
