A lot of them look like Galileo but when Gleneagles was running, I couldn't get over how much he looked like Galileo. It was eerily at times if I glanced up while a replay or something was playing of Gleneagles because on first glance I'd think it was a Galileo replay if it was a close up of his face.

Admiral Kitten seems quite admirable. Very handsome...only fault (and it may just be my personal bias) I note is slightly flat withers.

For a thoroughbred that is definitely a good thing One does not know the meaning of frustration until they've had to fit a saddle to a high-withered horse or dealt with the fallout of ill fitting saddle(s) (like in the case of school horses who don't have just one specific saddle... you end up having to use halfpads, sheepskins, gel pads, foam pads etc. Just to avoid injury and soreness.)

I've seen him in person and he's a lovely horse. His patterns are a tad long, which you can't see because he's standing in the grass.

Curlins are hit or miss for me re: looking like their pop, but he is an awfully big, sturdy boy.

Interesting that he only managed 6 starts before injury, and 4 of his well bred siblings are unraced. Makes one wonder if it's a soundness issue via the dam, or some other unrelated circumstances...

I think he was just coming into his own when he got injured by the freak accident. Had a real shot to win the Queens Plate, the one that Shaman Ghost won.
Casse had 2 very good horses that year - Curlinate and the ill-dated Danzig Moon.
A very good crop of Canadian horses in that crop - also included Ami's Flatter and Danish Dynaformer.
