Just posted on Facebook that Runhappy has been retired to Claiborne and will occupy Secretariat's old stall.

Well, this whole year was a waste of time for him, wasn't it? 
If he'd retired after getting that Sprinter Eclipse, I suspect he would be looking a bit better to breeders than he does now....unless they're very forgiving because of the way he was handled/'trained' this year?
And gets to bed down in Secretariat's stall? Yeah, that's a bit insulting to Big Red.

Run Happy has been retired to Claiborne Farm, and is now resides in Secretariat's stall. No, this is not a joke. Found the video on Twitter.

Solid returns for Cairo Prince

Among the first-crop weanling sires with three or more sold, Airdrie Stud's Cairo Prince produced the highest overall return to breeders with a 9.20 weanling price to 2015 stud fee ratio through Nov. 12.
The multiple grade II-winning son of Pioneerof the Nile had 10 weanlings sell out of 12 offered for a $92,000 average and a $70,000 median. His top seller was a $200,000 colt out of Visavis (Indian Charlie) that Blue Sky Stable bought during the Keeneland November breeding stock sale. The colt was sold by Airdrie Stud as agent.
Cairo Prince had three weanlings sell for $100,000 or more. They were all bred on an entering-year stud fee of $10,000.

Tourist has joined the retired dudes.
Multiple Grade 1-winning miler Tourist, recent winner of the fastest Breeders' Cup Mile (G1) in history, has been retired from racing and will stand stud at his birthplace of WinStar Farm in Versailles, KY. Owners WinStar, Gary Barber, and Adam Wacthel have partnered with Don Alberto Corporation on the stallion career of the grand-looking son of Tiznow, who will stand for a fee of $12,500 S&N in 2017.

Charismatic(USA) has entered quarantine this morning.
He is slated to leave from Narita Airport for the US on Nov 30.
Mr Singo Nakanishi, JBBA stud manager, commented;
''I've heard that he has very strong fan followings in the US. I hope that he will pass a quarantine and arrive in the US in fine form. I sincerely wish him a happy and stress-free retirement in his home country.''

Reassessing Tourist with the correct G1 wins, I still think $12,500 is modest. Do I think his fee should be higher than Runhappy? No...but then I still think $50,000 is a big ask for a colt who had only one good year.
Yep, it was good enough to earn a sprinter Eclipse, and there is no doubt the colt was brilliant when he was right. That speed will no doubt draw breeders looking for that brilliance, but....
Weighing the differences between Tourist and Runhappy, IMHO the Tiznow horse has some things going for him that 'Happy doesn't.
*Tourist (to the best of my knowledge) is a sound horse. Runhappy isn't.
*T raced through his 5th year. RH couldn't even win a race this year.
*Tiznow has sired horses who have been good runners and decent sires, while I don't believe Super Saver has shown the ability to do so. Has he sired ANY horse remotely as good as Runhappy? Tourist may have a more reliable pedigree.
*And, as has been pointed out, the Tiznow line leans toward dirt, although Tourist has shown they can run on grass, as well. I don't know that you should look at Tourist as only a turf sire.
