Gold Luck gets her career off to the perfect start
Goldikova: her two-year-old half-sister is by Redoute's Choice

More: http://bloodstock.racingpost.com/news/b ... t/2163062/GOLD LUCK, the two-year-old half-sister to exceptional racemare Goldikova, got her career off to the perfect start on Monday when she won a mile maiden for unraced fillies at Maisons-Laffitte.
The daughter of Redoute's Choice represents the same connections as her illustrious sibling - trained by Freddy Head for owner-breeders the Wertheimer brothers - and was ridden by Maxime Guyon to score by a head from the Falco filly Ifiandra. They pulled two and a half lengths clear of third-placed Orrery, a daughter of Smart Strike.
Head said after the race there should be more to come
from Gold Luck.
"I'm very happy with her," he said. "She wasn't fully tuned-up today and I think she can make plenty of progress from this.
"Next year will be for her and we'll leave her through the winter now in the hope she turns into a good filly. She handled herself very well and it looked a nice race. The runner-up pushed her hard at the end and overall they looked a nice bunch.

Got my fingers crossed! Noticed he's in without Lasix. Will be interested to see how Godolphin's $500k yearling purchase Exulting (Tapit-Magical Feeling by Empire Maker) does in his first start too.mariasmon wrote:Delta Prince (Street Cry), Royal Delta's 1/2 brother, makes his belated debut in a MSW at Belmont on Sunday.

So Mi Dar is entered in the Prix de l'Opera on Sunday. No Minding, sadly.Mel Mae wrote:Hopefully she takes on Minding at some point. I wonder if that means the U.S. will get lucky and have Minding at the Breeders' Cup (or England will get lucky and have her on champs day.)ThreeMustangs wrote:So Mi Dar is entered in the Prix de l'Opera on Sunday. From what I've read, Minding is headed to Ascot's Champion's Day.

Not holding my breath for the full brother then. Maybe the Tapits will find a tad more success? If not it really won't bode well for the family value.Flanders wrote:Yes. Hope's Love looked promising in the first start but then got injured and never lived up to that promise. With how the other siblings have run, that injury gives her a good excuse to say "She just never came back the same" instead of "She really sucks like the rest of them." Hopefully the Tapit(s) get more of their sire's talent.

R Sunday Surprise wasn't totally stinking... I mean 3 thirds in 4 starts would be incentive to keep trying, but dead last.. seems like a regression.Mel Mae wrote:Hope's Love looked promising in the first start but then got injured and never lived up to that promise.
