On Leave, War Front x Meghan's Joy, won the G2 Sands Point at Belmont, pretty much on the lead the whole way. She's a half to Ironicus (Distorted Humor ), Norumbega (Tiznow ), Hunting (Coronado's Quest), and Quiet Cove (Silver Deputy).

Does anyone know who she has been bred to the last couple of years? Ironicus is so good, I'd have taken her back to Distorted Humor, for sure.

She was bred to War Front for 2015 and Distorted Humor for 2016, but did not produce a foal either year. She was bred to DH again this year.

Ambrosia (Frankel x Pearling) makes her debut on Saturday in the first at Newmarket. She's out of a Giant's Causeway full sister and is a half (really, three quarters) sister to G3W Decorated Knight. Having Urban Sea over Mariah's Storm seems to work well. Outside of the Galileo group (Gleneagles, Marvellous, Hanky Panky, ect), Storm the Stars is from the same family and is by Sea the Stars. Will be interesting to see if Frankel can continue keeping that Urban Sea magic alive here.

Urban Sea's my favorite of the bluehen broodmares of the last 30-40 years so I'm hoping she finds even more success, especially outside of her sons. Her daughters have obviously been major producers but I'm really hoping she gets a standout daughter like she has with her sons.

Frontiersman "bolted up" and won easily today. He's a handsome dark brown fellow, and it looked like he won with his ears pricked.
