She may have ALWAYS been honest but it is hard to believe she is being honest here. She was likely shopping for a partner with no intent of selling. Who put an RNA at 1.19M. That is about as random a number as one can get. Hard to believe the 1.9M RNA wasn't what they wanted. Not sure why people feel the need to lie about this.carole wrote:http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/ ... illion-rna
Blood Horse story on Havre De Grace's yearling. It's difficult to really say exactly what went down but that certainly does not give them a good image. Some people pointing out that perhaps it was unwise to reveal the reserve before the colt was sold? I'm not sure whether that's common practice at all? Doesn't seem like it would be.
"I was distraught," Pope said. "We told them the reserve was going to be one thing, and then we ran it way past that, and that's not what we intended to do at all. I've been in this business and I've always been honest and done everything the right way, and I want people to understand that this was a total mix-up."
