Blood Horse story on Havre De Grace's yearling. It's difficult to really say exactly what went down but that certainly does not give them a good image. Some people pointing out that perhaps it was unwise to reveal the reserve before the colt was sold? I'm not sure whether that's common practice at all? Doesn't seem like it would be.

I think its fairly common. Its to let bidders know, hey don't waste your time if you don't want to go to X amount.

Has Mandy Pope actually raced anything at all? She bought some high priced yearlings at this sale last year and reading a follow up article, it sounds like none of the ones she bought have made it to the track, supposedly falling off the worktab.
I'm not trying to bash her or anything though, her money, her horses.

Off the top of my head, she's raced Mylute (in partnership) and A. P. Sonata. I'm sure I'm missing quite a few.

Tap To It. A $400,000 KEESEPT14 purchase that was 6th in the BC Juvenile Fillies. She must have gotten injured, since, according to Equibase, she hasn't raced since finishing 5th in the Margate Handicap in February at Gulfstream, but has a single work posted as of late - 8/27/16 3F at Goldmark Farm in Ocala.

I really liked Hooh Why as a racehorse and hope her son inherited her talent and durability. She's best known for winning the Ashland but I love that she ran from ages 2 through 7 on both synthetic and turf.

Seeing mares like Joyful Victory, Life At Ten and Life Is Sweet (this one a colt by Tapit) as immediate dams tomorrow. Could also do well!

I am really liking this Hip 413 Ghostzapper x Indian Spell colt. Not surprised he went for 625 000$. He was handsome but he looked incredibly intelligent. He had a charisma and magnetism about him- wow! He was extremely inquisitive and extremely alert yet calm and collected, observing everything around him. He had something in his eye.

Geez, it feels like last year that I watched Indian Spell sell as a yearling. And now her first foal is going through. Time really flies.

His dam gave off the same impression as a yearling. Pretty, smart and kind.
