I'm betting it's Viola.mariasmon wrote:

Blood Horse story on Havre De Grace's yearling. It's difficult to really say exactly what went down but that certainly does not give them a good image. Some people pointing out that perhaps it was unwise to reveal the reserve before the colt was sold? I'm not sure whether that's common practice at all? Doesn't seem like it would be.

I think its fairly common. Its to let bidders know, hey don't waste your time if you don't want to go to X amount.carole wrote:http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/ ... illion-rna

I get you on not believing the horse people. But I don't know if you just throw someone like KEE under the bus like that. Maybe. I don't know.mariasmon wrote:I'm predisposed to assume most horse people are lying, but...

Off the top of my head, she's raced Mylute (in partnership) and A. P. Sonata. I'm sure I'm missing quite a few.carole wrote:Has Mandy Pope actually raced anything at all? She bought some high priced yearlings at this sale last year and reading a follow up article, it sounds like none of the ones she bought have made it to the track, supposedly falling off the worktab.
I'm not trying to bash her or anything though, her money, her horses.

Did she own the Tapit filly that ran 2nd to Rachel's Valentina in the Spinaway last year? I can't remember the filly's name but I thought that she had a bright future. I don't think I've heard of her since the Breeders Cup.Mel Mae wrote:Off the top of my head, she's raced Mylute (in partnership) and A. P. Sonata. Note the number of starters from 2000-present. That isn't counting partnerships.

Tap To It. A $400,000 KEESEPT14 purchase that was 6th in the BC Juvenile Fillies. She must have gotten injured, since, according to Equibase, she hasn't raced since finishing 5th in the Margate Handicap in February at Gulfstream, but has a single work posted as of late - 8/27/16 3F at Goldmark Farm in Ocala.Flanders wrote:Did she own the Tapit filly that ran 2nd to Rachel's Valentina in the Spinaway last year? I really liked Hooh Why as a racehorse and hope her son inherited her talent and durability. She's best known for winning the Ashland but I love that she ran from ages 2 through 7 on both synthetic and turf.BaroqueAgain1 wrote:399 could set off some fireworks...Tapit x Hooh Why. I guess we'll know if she was/is serious about selling the colt when we get news that he HAS been sold privately.

There is also a half to Mucho Macho Man by Tapitcarole wrote:Seeing mares like Joyful Victory, Life At Ten and Life Is Sweet (this one a colt by Tapit) as immediate dams tomorrow. Could also do well!mariasmon wrote:Is there anything in tomorrow's session that might blow things out of the water? So far, this is the dullest KeeSep in the last decade.
Awesome Again half to Rachel Alexandra (colt)
War Front x Love and Pride
Bodemeister x Mining My Own
Speightstown x Night and Day
War Front x Playa Maya (dam of Uncle Mo)

Sweezey taking the fall on this one. Reserve supposed to be $1.19M, he says.

I am really liking this Hip 413 Ghostzapper x Indian Spell colt. Not surprised he went for 625 000$. He was handsome but he looked incredibly intelligent. He had a charisma and magnetism about him- wow! He was extremely inquisitive and extremely alert yet calm and collected, observing everything around him. He had something in his eye.
Wish him and his buyers luck (if he didn't RNA)

Didn't he?? Was just watching and didn't even look at the pedigree on him. Just had a great look to him, very kind and intelligent expression.Treve wrote:I am really liking this Hip 413 Ghostzapper x Indian Spell colt. Not surprised he went for 625 000$. Exactly, he's certainly a special individual. I don't know if that will translate into racing talent, but he seems like the kind of horse that will be pleasant to work with.bare it all wrote:Didn't he?? His dam gave off the same impression as a yearling. Pretty, smart and kind.Treve wrote:Exactly, he's certainly a special individual.
