It's possible that, starting on Wednesdays, their contractual obligations with racetracks pretty much fill their hours of programming.
But I also wonder if Britney was going to the sales anyway, and the channel is taking advantage of having someone there (without having to pay for her airfare?). She may be with her father, Peter, as he shops for horses for his clients.

Bob Baffert had a horse named Flame Thrower awhile ago. He looked alot like this colt but after he went to stud, I heard that his mane and tail both turned the same color as his body. This pic, which is of course the only one I can find after he went to stud does not show his mane. I included a pic of him during his racing days after.Treve wrote:I've never heard of a mane that darkens with age. What makes you think that, out of curiosity?Flanders wrote:He is gorgeous. I can't link this one but look how light his tail is in this one: http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news- ... oto/654824 (this was while he was training toward this Breeders Cup at 2)

That Tapit filly (#312) is very attractive. I've seen enough adult flaxen-maned chestnuts to think that she is going to get to keep her blonde locks for a while.

Interesting I wonder what kind of gene factors are at play! I do think she's darker than that colt was though, she looks almost like a liver chestnut w flaxen, so even if her mane darkens I am not sure it will catch up to the rest of her colour.Flanders wrote: Bob Baffert had a horse named Flame Thrower awhile ago. I thought the fillies from Day 2 and Day 3 of Book 1 were a little better/deeper than Day 1. I liked one of the Tapit fillies today (#138) and the Curlin filly (#39)

77 was a good looking full to Colonel John and Mr. Hot Stuff...and went for only $150,000.
I suspect the sales are going to see the yearlings by Tapit, War Front, late Scat Daddy or a few other premiere stallions go high, and the rest of the crop may go low.

104 is interesting, flaxen-maned Union Rags colt out of the mare who produced Hawkbill. Oops...missed the price.

Thanks. I suspect that she is not going back to Union Rags soon...after the success by Hawkbill, pretty sure that she's going to be seeing a lot of Kitten's Joy.
