Adlerflug (In The Wings - Aiyana, by Last Tycoon) sired his first G1 winner when Iquitos won the Grosser Preis von Baden (Ger-I). Alderflug won the German Derby in 2007. His first crop was born in 2011 and he is off to a promising start with 9 SWs(8%) from 117 foals of racing age.
What I find really interesting is that his 2nd dam, Alya, is a full sister to Allegretta, the dam of Urban Sea.
It will be really fun watching to see how he does in the future. Plus he is gorgeous, the following link has a slideshow of pics of him.

He had a great week, as just a couple of days before that his 3yo son Savoir Vivre won the G2 Grand Prix de Deauville against older horses. I believe "adlerflug" means "eagle flight" or "flight of eagles" in German. If so, that is so very appropriate!
Give me that short lead, give me that win by a nose, get them all home safely!

BTW (Totally overlooked that yesterday)... Iquitos is not Adlerflug's first G1 winner.
