Midnight Pleasure won very nicely. But I hope the filly is "precocious," rather than "precious." Anyway, I'll be there.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

But yeah, you figure if this filly had a fraction of her parents' talent she was going to win.

First time out against all-colts too hehe. I'm really anxious for Nothing But Dreams(JPN) to debut (2014F Frankel x Danedream) but I'm having a hard time keeping track of her progress. I know she was sent to GB to train and race there but I haven't read anything new since that German article.Starine wrote:Great name.tachyon wrote:Soul Stirring(JPN), 2014F. Easy winner, even though Justin Zayat tweeted that she "needs one."mariasmon wrote:Sunday in the 3rd at DMR, Stewart Elliott rides.Treve wrote:Jay Privman

American Pharoah's full sister, American Cleopatra, just worked a half-mile like a filly just about set for her debut. Has progressed nicely

Littleprincessemma now has 3 winners out of 3 starters. And at 7-1 I hope those of you who bet put a little money on Cleo That was a pretty nice debut, I admit I was beaming when she started pulling away.Flanders wrote:American Cleopatra (Pioneerof The Nile - Littleprincessemma, by Yankee Gentleman) just won the 3rd at DMR.

Holy crap, that was impressive.
It's funny...so many people were afraid to tout her. Expensive siblings and offspring of famous horses have disappointed so many times that I think fans and handicappers alike were hesitant to expect much...or anything...out of her first race.
Well, it looks like she's got a good dose of her big bro's talent. Yay.
Wonder if Baffert might try her in the big Del Mar juvenile stakes...is that the Sorrento?

And that was a nice win by Trojan Nation. After toiling away on the Derby trail, it looks like that nice Street Cry colt has found his happy place on the lawn.

Wasn't it a private sale? Not sure the owners were disclosed.Macaroni wrote:He isn't owned by Zayat, so who knows. Does anyone know/remember who bought him from Summer Wind?tcw wrote:Looking ahead, wonder if Baffert will get their little bro' next year, Irish Pharaoh?
