I understand Coolmore supporting their own sires but are they not going to find themselves at a loophole when they breed dams and their daughters to the same stallion like 3 times in a row and then 3 times in a row to a different stallion? They have an army of Galileos and War Fronts, perhaps they should consider other options too.

There is a breeding theory that any mating you really like should be repeated at least twice. Not saying they subscribe to that, but the War Front/Galileo cross is one they seem to love. They did well with the Danehill/Sadler's Wells cross.

Also, a lot of what they already stand in Europe comes from either the Sadler's Wells or Danzig line or both. It's getting to be enough generations out now that they can cross back. I noticed at least one Fastnet Rock mare going to War Front. They do have 2 young stallions in Ireland who are not from those lines, Canford Cliffs and No Nay Never.

The War Front over Galileo is basically this generation's Sadler's Wells over Danehill, which is obviously an extremely successful cross and seems to be continuing with the first few from War Front out of SW/Galileo mares doing very well (Brave Anna and Roly Poly for example). Seems like they subscribe to the theory that if it's not broke, there's no need to change it. Especially when the stallions they are breeding to are the best of the best. There's really not that much else to go to in Europe that gets them away from the inbreeding since it's so stacked with Northern Dancer blood over there, especially when they don't send many to Darley stallions.
