Couldn't see them due to privacy settings -- super disappointed. Maybe another Keeneland photographer caught him.mariasmon wrote:Tale of Life: https://www.facebook.com/maggie.kimmitt ... 3671357106

Just watched the replay. Algometer gave him a challenge, but Midterm pricked his ears when he pulled away. He's now 2nd favorite for the Derby behind Galileo's US Army Ranger.mariasmon wrote:Midterm (Galileo x Midday) won the G3 Classic Trial at Sandown today.
Galileo’s Midterm Plunders Sandown’s Classic Trial

MIDTERM ON DERBY TRAIL FOR GALILEOConnections were understandably delighted with the display and jockey Ryan Moore was first out of the blocks with his praise. “I thought it was a really professional performance,” the rider said. “We went a good, even pace and he travelled nicely. I always felt he was in control and, although he was a little bit green coming up the hill, every time I asked him he kept responding. He doesn’t do much at home and seems to save his best for the track, but you’d be very happy with what he’s done today. He’ll have no problem with Epsom because he’s a very neat horse and a very good mover. He’s certainly bred to do the job. There’s a few more trials to be seen and there’s a lot of horses we haven’t seen yet. It’s early days, but this horse has done absolutely nothing wrong.”

‘Valentina’ Has First Pre-Oaks Work
The daughter of Hall of Fame nominee Rachel Alexandra (Medaglia d’Oro) figures to be among the favorites for the GI Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs May 6. Working in company with stablemate Gimlet (Lemon Drop Kid), last year’s GI Spinaway S. winner and GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies runner-up was clocked in splits of :12.40, :24.80, :48.60 and out in 1:00.60 and 1:13.60. She was piloted for the breeze by exercise rider Adele Bellinger. “[We wanted] just a nice easy breeze against the bridle, and that’s what we got,” said Tristan Barry, assistant to trainer Todd Pletcher. “We’re very happy with her.”
http://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/va ... oaks-work/In other Oaks news, fellow ‘Rising Star’ Cathryn Sophia (Street Boss) is now being reconsidered for the Oaks following the defection of undefeated champion Songbird (Medaglia d’Oro). The GII Forward Gal S. and GII Davona Dale S. romper, third behind Weep No More (Mineshaft) in the Ashland as the 1-2 favorite, will work at Keeneland Friday before trainer John Servis makes a decision as to whether to point for the Oaks or seven-panel GII Eight Belles S. on the same day.

Not that he's famous for the right reason, but there's a 2014 colt by Nobiz Like Shobiz out of his half sister To Fly Free, entered at KEE next Wednesday in one of the baby races. Worth watching, you don't see that too often. Kinda gross, in a sense.

Ioya Two, what is the name of that rather inbred Nobiz Like Shobiz colt? Thanks.
