OBS Sales Question

Saw a headline on Bloodhorse today that a Tapit was a late scratch to the sale today. So all 6 Tapit colts did not sell. Curious though, if a horse is pulled last minute and no PS is put next to name for private sale, does that mean the consigner and owner had to keep horse? Is this done due to lack of interest?

The horse was a $500K yearling and was wondering if he injured himself last minute or something. Never seen a horse pulled last minute and not for private sale.

If he injured himself or in any other way was "off" (but to the seller's mind, nothing major), the health issue would have pushed the max possible sales price lower than the seller would have been willing to settle for?

I saw that headline and he was actually one of the most anticipated hips, but it seems like the current owners had a change of heart and decided to retain him for racing. So I don't think injury or lack of interest is at fault here, more like pre-emptive seller's remorse.
