Give me even money on him first time routing and I'll put up my maximum win wager.
How much is that? That's vital info when talking confidence.

$500.

The 2nd place finisher ran his guts out and had his heart broken for his efforts. The winner was just warming up.

Brown's Baby Boy was vanned off. Hope he's ok.

From the DRF:
On Saturday at Santa Anita, American Freedom won his debut for trainer Bob Baffert, earning a Beyer of 98. After the race, Baffert was so impressed that he quipped he’d found his Haskell horse.

GET STORMY's first 2yo to run, Mr. D's Way, runs a good 3rd today in a $50,000 MSW @keenelandracing going 4-1/2 furlongs on dirt!

Today's Keeneland babies
Mr. D's Way, trained by John Hancock, is the first starter for freshman sire Get Stormy, a multiple Grade 1 winner on turf. I'd certainly prefer to see this one on turf; however, I'm excited to start getting a look at the Get Stormys to see their physical shape. He's a powerful horse with a ton of bone. They should do very well with the lucrative 2-year-old turf stakes later in the year.
About the race winner, Con Te Partiro:
Con Te Partiro is very interesting; the Scat Daddy colt, out of a Grade 1-placed Street Cry mare, is a half to multiple graded stakes-placed Donworth, which would lead you to believe he'd be better older and going longer. However, he's from the extended family of Grade 1-winning juvenile Seattle Meteor and Grade 1-winning sprinter A Phenomenon.

Union Jackson (Curlin x Hot Dixie Chick) just won the 2nd at Keeneland, a 6-furlong AOC. He went to the front and just kept going...won by open lengths. Stakes next out, methinks. 8-)

The 1/2 brother to Lani(USA) has been undefeated after switching to dirt.

I saw that, and I think he won by double digits. :o Big, good-looking son of MdO, and I believe he was wearing Coolmore silks. Think we'll be seeing that boy in some stakes this summer. :D

Yep. His official margin was 14 1/2 lengths. His last out was a maiden win by 11 1/2 lengths at Gulfstream. I think he'll definitely be a name we see in stakes later!

Tristan Berry, asst. to Pletcher, said a stakes - maybe even Preakness - could be on the table for Stradivari next.

The name strikes a chord with me, I'm a violinist myself so will be following Stradivari closely. Plus love that he's by MDO!

ETA: Looks like the horse was bought by Coolmore after his maiden win too. He's wearing different silks in that race. Also, the commentary in that maiden was awful. The commentator had no clue who the horse was half the time.

Tale of Life (JPN) (Deep Impact x Second Happiness, by Storm Cat), a grandson of Miesque, won the 2nd at Keeneland today. He set a new track record for 8.5F. I believe it was only his 2nd start on the dirt.

Missed the race, but he sounds like he was impressive. Do you know of any photos of him?
