No official news for 2 (or is it already 3?) days? Maybe something is finally going on at Lane's End?

Looks like the foal has dropped, creating that slightly drawn look along her spine. Maybe tonight?

Does anyone have a rough percentage of mares who foal at night? I assume its fairly high.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

egads for her sake.... I hope its tonight - she just looked so huge in the pix lately - wishing her an easy safe delivery and great health to her and the baby - cannot wait to see the newest foal!

The way their most recent post is written, it does sound like she's going to foal sometime tonight.

Around her tail head/croup looks sunken in and think maybe I see a swollen udder. So hopefully very, very soon.

I have a boarder's mare that's 3 weeks past her due date. Last time she went 4 weeks and the vet was ready to intervene. Hope this girl goes soon. I really, really need some sleep. Mares are so inconsiderate. ;)

my gosh that photo of ann and zenyatta with their heads touching.... zen surely loves her ann - ann smiling in every picture with her zen - a beautiful love story shared between these two dear sweet spirits - its heartwarming to witness.

Ann has the most beautiful smile. She is so joyful. All the pictures of her with Zenyatta reflect a joyful reassurance. And the photographer captures it in the images. In a world of celebrity, it is yet so personal.

Poor mare, everyone watching her like she's gonna explode...reminds me of an I Love Lucy episode. LOL

Watched pot never boils. I bet the minute she gets a break, she pops that little (?) sucker out in minutes.
Give me that short lead, give me that win by a nose, get them all home safely!

I doubt they'll breed her back. It's a late foaling date, unless she is covered on her foal heat. Better giving her season off, and getting those foals a bit earlier.

I'm sure it has been posted somewhere, but I am guessing that she didn't get pregnant off of one cover for her 2016 foal? It's too bad that they gave her a year off and will still end up with a mid-late April foal. I would be surprised if they didn't breed her back this year, she had 2015 off and it's not like any of her foals are going to be precocious speedsters or are sale-bound.

They purposefully bred her late last year. She wasn't covered until the end of April. She was announced 36 days in foal on May 27th.
It doesn't really matter when her foals are born, its highly unlikely they are going to race at 2 either way.
